Through tear-stained eyes, he gleaned across the highway while frantically searching for her furry companion. He had somehow escaped her company, despite being leashed.

She began to conclude, he was nowhere to be found. In her desperation to find comfort and ease her anxiety, she shifted her focus to fond memories of their last interaction.

As she reopened her eyes, she shrieked, “Oh, my God!”

There, the furry Golden Retriever stood, looking perplexed and lonely. His brown eyes locked hers while they both aimed to reunite. He paced back and forth in anticipation as she approached the highway.

Then the unthinkable happened.

Within a fleeting moment, a procession of cars — racing—obscured her view—the momentary glimpse of the runaway canine rendered brief consolation, followed by a return of overwhelming despair.

She devised a plan to find him by creating and posting flyers. But before she could execute it, the weather took a turn.

Suddenly, violent winds began to rage while whistling through her flowing crimson locks. Glaring sunlight kissed her velvety skin. Lighting began streaking across overcast skies. The thunder roared, and the rain poured hard.

The mind-numbing pain due to his departure broke her heart. With no specific destination, she anxiously fled. Her desperation to reunite with a four-legged pal shrowded her thinking, thus, causing her mind to shift to a happy place.

But soon, the misery continued. The fond memories couldn’t fill the void.

She continued to walk and walk and walk, and before long, she was at home. It was there where she found her long-lost pup, safely cuddled at her doorstep. They looked at each other in amazement, staring—intensely.

He then leaped into her arms while nervously licking her face. She gently caressed his shiny coat to assure him that he was safe. Alas, she thought, “We’re together again!” The long-awaited reunion with her furry friend was finally a reality.

She began to cry uncontrollably.

Why?

Because She Found Him!
