There she lay—paralyzed with exhaustion. Staring at the ceiling, she entertained fantasies of the leftover Japanese cuisine awaiting me in the fridge.
She longed to partake of the food that could’ve appeased her ravenous hunger and put an end to the melodious grumbling in her tummy.
She was too hungry to starve and too tired to move. She knew that for her to eat, she must rise up.
Her body, overcome by crushing fatigue and exhaustion, was in a state of pseudo paralysis.
She pondered on a silly thought.
“Oh, how I wish I could extend my arm from my bedroom to the kitchen and reach my hand into the fridge. I would grab the food and finally satisfy my unrelenting, ravenous hunger.”
She then reasoned, “But that's not possible.”
“I must become mobile so I can eat, but I can’t eat unless I become mobile, she rationalized.”
She realized that the food she craved could energize her, but it was out of my reach. Yet, the only way to reach the food she so desperately wanted required energy, which she was depleted of.
Her dilemma, though complex, had a solution; however, she couldn’t fulfill it.
Her mind flooded with thoughts about overcoming this challenge.
She vocalized her plan to satisfy her ravenous hunger with a faint whisper.
“So, the sustenance from the food could energize me. The reason I’m not energized is because I haven’t eaten the food that could give me energy.
But if I’m too exhausted to rise up and get the food that would energize me, then my exhaustion remains, and my hunger will never subside.
